Choosing between capsule and loose leaf

Capsules are a modern convenience laid over an old plant: no spoon, no scale, and the larger counts generally work out cheaper per capsule. Those who like to brew may prefer the loose OPMS Silver powder, the form the leaf has traditionally been steeped in; our notes on making kratom tea show the method. A longer look at capsules against powder sits among our guides for anyone weighing the two.

From grove to capsule

Every kratom leaf begins on a tree in Southeast Asia, and the way it is grown, picked and dried shapes what finally reaches the capsule. Our visit inside a kratom grove follows those steps from branch to drying. At home, keep the container closed, dry and out of strong light; our guide to storing kratom explains why. And take a slow minute with the label first: the count, the batch code and the serving size are all printed there.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the name Green Borneo come from?

Borneo is the great island shared by Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei, and green is the vein color under which this leaf is sorted. Like most regional names, it reflects trade custom more than a certified farm. The Green Borneo strain notes and vein color guide tell the longer story.

Has anything been extracted from this leaf?

No. The capsules hold whole leaf, dried and milled, with nothing taken out or concentrated. Concentrated products are kept apart on our extracts shelf.

What capsule counts are offered?

Four of them, the smallest holding 60 and the largest 480. The price per capsule usually falls as the count rises, so the larger containers suit those who already know this Green Borneo.

How can I see the lab report for this leaf?

Any lab-report details for it are shown on this page. If none appears, write to us with the batch code shown on your pack. Our guide to reading a COA explains each part of the document.
