Description
About the OPMS Gold shot
From OPMS comes the OPMS Gold Kratom Shot, a liquid extract sold ready to drink. It sits a long way from the dried leaf most of our shelves hold: an extract is concentrated, and the shot’s own packaging sets out its contents and serving guidance, which deserve a careful read. A word on the name, too. Gold here is the title of an OPMS line, and it does not mean gold-vein leaf.
- Brand: OPMS
- Product type: Kratom extract — liquid shot
- Line: Gold
- Format: A ready-to-drink liquid extract shot
- Also from OPMS: OPMS Silver (leaf), OPMS Gold capsules, OPMS Black capsules, OPMS Red capsules
The OPMS family of lines
OPMS keeps several lines under one name. The Silver line, found on our OPMS page, is plain leaf, ground and sold loose or in capsules. Gold holds extract capsules and a liquid shot; Black holds extract capsules; and there are OPMS Red capsules besides. Leaf and extract are quite different things, and it pays to know which you are holding before you read any further down the label. If the old, unconcentrated leaf is what you are after, OPMS Silver leaf is where to begin, and our introduction to kratom gives the background.
Reading the label slowly
An extract asks for a little more patience than leaf. Before opening the shot, sit with the package for a minute: it gives the labeled contents, the serving size and the batch code, and those printed words matter more than anything we could add here. Our guide to kratom labels walks through each line in turn. Once opened, keep the pack closed, dry and out of strong light, as our notes on storing kratom recommend.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Gold shot leaf or extract?
Extract. Because it is concentrated, it is a different thing from ground leaf, whether loose or in capsules.
Has the Gold name anything to do with gold vein leaf?
Nothing at all. Gold is simply the title OPMS gives this line, and no vein color is implied.
What does MIT stand for on the label?
Mitragynine, the principal alkaloid found in kratom leaf. Extract makers often give strength as milligrams of MIT, and our guide to kratom labels shows how to read it patiently, line by line.
How can I see the lab report for this product?
Any lab-report details for it are shown on this page. If none appears, write to us with the batch code shown on your pack. Our guide to reading a COA explains each part of the document.
Can Old World Leaf send this to me?
